51 dogs in 40 sessions over four days = a lot of photographs of dogs! And this year it really helped raise more than ever for All Breed Rescue and Training. It was an exhausting 4 days but well worth it. We had big dog and bigger dogs (the 165 pound dane was our largest this year) and then there were small dogs..and I mean really small dogs. I believe the Pomeranian was so tiny it almost looked like a stuffed toy.
The contest for this years calendar was also a huge success—more than 22 images were submitted to the judges. The theme this year was “Sports” and we had some very fun, inventive and creative submissions. They’re currently being judged by the PAWS sponsors and we’ll report the winners soon, including the Grand Prize winner.
PAWS couldn’t be a success without our amazing support system of sponsors. Once again they stepped up to the plate and provided assistance (Linda Brennen with Your Canine Coach) as well as goodies for our give away bags (Bon Pet Supply again this year). New to this year was Stay Happy Pet Sitting who donated a roll of poop bags to the swag bags as well as a coupon code for a few complimentary days of pet sitting. Big thank you to them and for their time judging the photos as well.
With all the sessions we raised almost $1600 for ABRT ($1590)—close to double last years take and the largest PAWS fundraiser in 7 years! Thanks to all who participated this year whether in the mini sessions or the calendar sessions. Your support is invaluable to All Breed and the dogs who count on them. Stay tuned for news about the calendar judging and enjoy the video to see a few of the images captured this year.
