As a Colorado Springs dog photographer and owner of two dogs I’ve learned a lot from being around dog trainers as well as dogs and their owners. I see a lot of good behavior as well as bad in dogs and their owners.
Whether you are a new dog owner or have had dogs for years it’s still good to be reminded about tips for caring for your furry friend. In the past I’ve blogged about many of them including proper diet and exercise as well as over feeding your dog. Some of these are simply common sense but you’d be surprised by the number of dog owners who fail to do them and then are frustrated with their relationship with their dog.
I recently rescued another dog who is just two years old. This is my third rescue and I know a lot of the issues that can occur with a rescue dog however it had been years since I had to start over with training and dog proofing the house. I’d forgotten some things so this was a good refresher for me to read new information on dog handling.
